This year's guest speaker is Carey Casey, best-selling author and CEO of the National Center for Fathering. Through his work across the country, Casey has earned a reputation as a dynamic communicator, especially on the topic of men being good fathers, and as a compassionate ambassador, especially within the American sports community.
In 2009, Casey was asked to serve on the White House Task Force on Fatherhood and Healthy Families. He also serves as a member of the National Fatherhood Leaders Group, which promotes responsible fatherhood policy, research, advocacy and practice.

Dunked at Miller Plaza, September 17
Chattanooga Friends is partnering with Henderson, Hutcherson, & McCullough to launch a new fundraiser benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga and Chattanooga Friends.
“Dunked” will be held on September 17, 2010 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Miller Plaza. High profile business men and women have volunteered to step into a dunking booth and allow friends and foes alike to attempt to dunk them in suppor...t of a charity.
For a $5.00 donation, participants will receive 3 balls to throw at the dunkee of their choice. In a similar event, the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver Canada raised over $200,000.
Free admission, locally grown vegetable, herb and flower plants for sale, craft vendors.

Kids Day at Coolidge Park, September 25
The City of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Parent Magazine and WDEF News 12 are hosting a day of fun activities for children and their families in Coolidge Park on Saturday, September 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. “Kid’s Day” will be highlighted by an appearance and special free concert by the popular School House Rock television series creator Bob Dorough. There will be over 60 booths with activities and information galore, free rides on the Coolidge Park Antique Carousel, fun things to do at the Outdoor Chattanooga Center, favorite media personalities, entertainment by local school groups, arts and crafts, rugby demonstrations, obstacle course and fitness events, inflatable play structures, food, games, and face-painting. City of Chattanooga Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Education Arts & Culture Department representatives will also be there to offer numerous resources for a safe, active, and engaging new school year.

"Are you Smarter than a Girls Inc Girl", October 8
Girls Inc. of Chattanooga is bringing back last year’s popular “Are You Smarter Than a Girls Inc. Girl?” competition at the 6th annual Blast Off! fundraiser to be held at The Mill on Friday, October 8, 2010. This year’s adult contestants will be prominent Chattanooga couples, bringing a “Battle of the Sexes” twist to the competition.
The event will also include two silent auctions, one with traditional items and the other with artwork provided by local artists.
