Taste of Hamilton Place, September 12

Hamilton Place will host the second annual “Taste of Hamilton Place” on Sept. 12, from 7-9 p.m. at the mall. Ticket holders will meet chefs and sample a variety of signature dishes from area restaurants and enjoy musical entertainment as they stroll from station to station.

All proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit the children’s cancer center at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, which treats children who have been diagnosed with cancer with the highest level of care, allowing local families to stay closer to home.

First Annual Walk for Williams Syndrome, October 2

Williams Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that occurs in one in 8000 births. It is not as well-known as other disorders such as Down's Syndrome. To honor these special children and the Williams Syndrome Association, there will be the first Walk for Williams on Oct. 2, at Camp Jordan in East Ridge.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. The walk will begin at 10 a.m.

Activities and live music will be by local bands Roughwork, The Gist, and Freight No. 9 to follow the walk.

Jordan Thomas Foundation 4th Annual Low Country Boil and Golf Classic, October 3-4

The 4th annual Jordan Thomas Foundation Low Country Boil supports Jordan's work to provide prostheses for children of limb loss and traumatic injury.

The Low Country Boil will be held Sunday evening, October 3, 2010, at Table2, followed on Monday by the Jordan Thomas Annual Golf Tournament at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. The Low Country Boil will be hosted exclusively at Table2 for an evening of wonderful food and entertainment.The traditional seafood boil will be provided as well as a non-shellfish option along with pork sliders.

Drinks, including cocktails, wine, and beer will also be provided.

The silent auction will showcase wonderful donations from local businesses and donors, and will conclude with dessert and champagne.

Entertainment will begin with the Ben Friberg Trio, followed by music with Soundforce.

We hope to continue the tradition of hot-air balloon rides at the venue.
